This was planned in conjunction with Kent Music with the aim of collaborating between schools, and raising the profile of orchestral playing. Students were enthusiastic and engaged, and played over 3 hours to workshop 3 pieces; Hall of the Mountain King by Grieg, The Circle of Life from the Lion King, and The Muppets Theme. The next orchestra day will take place on the 19th June 2026, and we hope to have more schools involved to begin building a Thanet Schools Orchestra!
