Our Y12 BTEC Business students are running 6 different events that are all raising money for Women's Aid and our school. These events are Dodgeball, Rounders, a Raffle, Sponge a Teacher and a Y7 Talent Show, as well as refreshments to be sold at some of the events. By donating, you're supporting a good cause that helps support many women across the UK suffering from domestic abuse!

The need for childcare does not stop when children reach school-age, we know that families continue to need childcare before and after school, and during the school holidays. As a result, the Department for Education is taking a strategic approach to the future of School Aged Childcare (SAC) which builds on the successes of programmes such as the National Wraparound Childcare programme, the Holidays Activities and Food programme (HAF) and the national rollout of the Free Breakfast Club programme, to ensure families are supported, year-round, by an outstanding SAC system.
Last night (Thursday 11th June) was the Summer Soloists concert - 'Here Comes the Sun' - in the DCGS theatre. This was an opportunity for students having instrumental lessons at school to showcase their progress. Our peripatetic instrumental teachers are a wonderful team and between lessons with great teachers and consistent practice, our students have come on leaps and bounds this year!
