GCSE Results

Dane Court Grammar School is delighted to celebrate another year of outstanding GCSE results, with the school once again achieving an Attainment 8 score above 67 and more than half of all entries awarded grade 7 or higher. An impressive 13% of all grades awarded were grade 9s.

There were outstanding results across a wide range of other subjects including 95% of entries in Statistics being awarded grades 9-7. Computing saw 75% of entries awarded top grades, including an exceptional 35% at grade 9, while 70% of History entries achieved grades 9-7. Students also achieved particularly strong results in French, where 35% of entries at higher level were awarded grade 9, and Chemistry, with 19% of students achieving the top grade. In Food Preparation and Nutrition, 60% of entries achieved grades 9-7, with an impressive average point score of 6.75.
Head of School, Sally Jellett, commented:
“These results reflect not only the remarkable effort and resilience shown by our students, but also the commitment and expertise of our teaching and support staff. We are immensely proud of what our students have achieved. The consistently high standards across such a broad range of subjects are testament to the ambition of our young people and the dedication of everyone who has supported them throughout their time at Dane Court.”
Martin Jones, Executive Headteacher, added:
“It has been a privilege to see the determination and maturity that this year group has shown. Behind these excellent headline figures are hundreds of individual achievements, and every student should feel enormously proud of what they have accomplished. These results give them a superb foundation for the next stage of their education, and we look forward to welcoming many of them back in September as they begin their IB studies and continue to flourish.”
