Supporting Great Ormond Street Hospital as our house charity was always going to be a worthy cause, and one that people care deeply about. In the run up to Christmas we took part in the GOSH festive poster campaign whereby staff and students could pay £1 and write a festive message on a sticker then attach it to a poster.
Tallinn house half term catch up

This first half term has been slightly hectic for everyone involved in the great change to the house system. It has been confusing and trying on occasions, but ultimately it gives us a more caring and supportive structure within the school.

Celebration assemblies have kicked off again. Various factors before half term saw these assemblies get sidelined on more than one occasion, but I am very keen to say 'well done' to you all as a house – you consistently try hard and show a positive outlook towards everything you do. Today saw our ninth recipient of their stripes – Charlotte Musgrove in year 8. Congratulations!

Tuesday 13th September saw Tallinn's first celebration and reward assembly with Ryan Latchman, Christopher Yates and Megan Jackson being nominated for great achievements. However the first stripes of the year were earnt by Thomas McGuirk for a wonderful effort and positive attitude at the start of the year.
Choose an anthem for Tallinn

Very soon you will be helping to choose your house anthem. This will be an inspiring piece of music - with or without lyrics - which becomes the "signature tune" of Tallinn house. This piece of music needs to be inspiring, motivating, uplifting and definitely something that inspired huge amounts of enthusiasm, but ideally it should also tell people something about what Tallinn as a house represents.

We are generally pretty fortunate with what we have – health, education, food and shelter, but there are many places in the world where people are not as lucky. Each house will adopt a charity to fundraise for throughout the year. Which charity do you want Tallinn to support?
